Dr. Ahmet Özant was born in Nicosia. He completed his undergraduate dental education and specialty training in orthodontics at the Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry. Throughout his career, he has taken active responsibilities not only in clinical dentistry but also in healthcare management, professional organizations, and public health initiatives.
With long-standing professional experience, he possesses a comprehensive clinical background in orthodontic treatment planning, malocclusion evaluation, and multidisciplinary dentistry approaches.
Executive Roles in Healthcare Management and Professional Organizations
As part of his work in professional organizations, Dr. Ahmet Özant served on the board of directors of various healthcare institutions for approximately 22 years. He served as the President of the Cyprus Turkish Dental Association and as the President of the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association between 2022 and 2024.
During these tenures, he made active contributions to the development of healthcare services, professional representation, public health, and the sustainability of medical practices.
Contribution to Health Policies During the COVID-19 Pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served on the COVID-19 Coordination Committee established under the Prime Ministry of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, contributing to the country’s health policies.

Internationally, he has represented Cyprus in prominent organizations such as the European Federation of Salaried Doctors (FEMS) and the Balkan Stomatological Society (BaSS).
